A Range Safety Officer is on duty 
whenever the range is open to the 
public or during special events. 

Jim Jones Shooting Range 
Directions 

T onto Rim Sports Club is an NRA CMP 
affiliated Club. It is also the administrative 
body for the Jim Jones Shooting Range located in 
the Tonto National Forest, by a cooperative 
agreement with Gila County and the US Forest 
Service. Tonto Rim Sports Club is charged with 
maintaining and improving the Jim Jones 
Shooting Range. All expenses of the range 
operation are paid with Tonto Rim Sports Club 
annual dues, with no tax dollars being involved 

Tonto Rim Sport Club offers to members: 

Archery Matches * High Power Rifle Matches * 
Basic Pistol Instruction * Small Bore Rifle 
Matches * Junior Rifle Instructions * Cowboy 
Action Matches * Hunter Safety 

Club Member may use the shooting range at their 
leisure; however, the shooting range is open to 
the public on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 

The Club sends out a monthly newsletter with a 
schedule of events and current information about 
the Club. There is also a monthly meeting on the 
third Thursday of the month. 

If you would like to join Tonto Rim Sports Club,

Membership is $50.00 annually. Please remit your 
check with application. If you would like more

All New Members are required to complete a 
range orientation before membership will be 
approved.

Gila County from any and all liability, claims, demands, action or rights of action, which are relate to, arise out of or 
are in any way connected with the shooting sports activity which I have voluntarily entered, for any and all injuries, 
damage or death to myself, offspring, dependent or my property. 

 

I promise and covenant to hold harmless and indemnify Tonto Rim Sports Club Inc., its officers, the USFS and 
Gila County from all costs, including attorney’s fees, settlements and judgments incurred in connection with 
claims for injury, damage or death to the person or property of another while engaged in the shooting sports activ-
ity.
