Established in 1979 and affiliated with the National Rifle Association and other State and National organizations.

The purpose of the Club is to educate and encourage organized shooting amoung United States citizens of the area, with a focus of better knowledge of the safe handling and proper care of firearms, as well as improved marksmanship. It is a further purpose of the club to foster the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self discipline, team play, and  self reliance. These are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of patriotism.

The Club is a not-for -profit corporation organized under IRC section 501(c)(4). The Club maintains and manages the Jim Jones Shooting Range, and has provided the range improvements. The Club averages over 600 individual and family Memberships. Along with this website the Club also produces a monthly news letter and provides the background for many monthly and annual events. The Club has regular meetings on the Third Thursday of each Month at 7 pm located in the Payson American Legion building, hwy 260, Payson. Guests are welcome.

Any citizen of the Unites Statesmay become a member of the club by completing an application , suscribing to the NRA pledge, completing and signing a orientationform with a Range safety Officer and payment of annual Dues.
